MINI One and MINI Cooper go on sale in the UK on July 7 and prices have been
announced that will set the pulses of MINI fans racing. MINI One will have an
on-the-road price of £10,300 (retail list price of £9,900) and MINI Cooper will
be available on the road at £11,600 (retail list price of £11,200). Built in
Oxford, MINI goes on sale in Britain two months before anywhere else in the
world.

Trevor Houghton-Berry, General Manager for MINI in the UK commented: "We're
pleased to announce these seriously competitive UK prices for MINI. With its
outstanding performance and handling, its practicality, safety features and
unbeatable specification, we know UK car buyers are going to love it! We
reckon it's the best car on the market at its price."

MINI qualities - driving dynamics, safety and specification :

With its wheel-at-each-corner design, wide track, low centre of gravity, short
overhangs and a torsional stiffness two to three times greater than any other
car of its size, MINI's driving dynamics are simply stunning. A fast steering
rack and BMW's state-of-the-art rear Z-axle suspension help to give razor sharp
reactions - a real kart-like experience -in complete safety.

Electronic driving stability systems help to keep MINI under control and
pointing in the right direction under extreme driving conditions or in an
emergency. These include ABS (anti-lock braking system), EBD (electronic
brake-force distribution), and CBC (cornering brake control) as standard. BMW's
widely praised Dynamic Stability Control System (DSCIII) is an option. Four
airbags come as standard with an additional head airbag system also available.

The MINI range:

MINI One offers bags of performance and driving enjoyment with 90 bhp producing
a top speed of 115 mph and a 0-62 mph time of 10.9 seconds. Maximum torque of
140Nm (101 lb ft) at 3,000 rpm ensures MINI One maintains excellent mid-range
pull, providing the best drive available for around ten thousand pounds.

MINI Cooper adds the much-loved sporty design details, associated with the
famous name, to the added power that ensures every drive in the car will leave
a lasting impression. A top speed of 125 mph from 115 bhp gives a 0-62 time of
just 9.2 seconds, whilst the handling remains poised and the car feels glued to
the road.

CO2 emission information.

The values for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and energy consumption shown were determined in a standardised test cycle according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version currently applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers transmission (automatic or manual) and the different wheels and tyres available on the selected model and may vary during the configuration.

The values of the vehicles labelled with (*), are already based on the test cycle according to the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to allow a comparison between vehicles. More information on the transition from NEDC to WLTP test procedures can be found here.

These figures are intended for comparison purposes and may not be representative of what a user achieves under usual driving conditions. For plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles the figures have been obtained using a combination of battery power and petrol fuel after the battery had been fully charged. Plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. The CO2 emissions labels are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the Passenger Car (Fuel consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001, as amended. They are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle.

A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contains data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge. For further information you can also visit this link.
