With its unique sporting looks and dynamic performance the BMW X6 is already an appealing car, but now BMW Performance is offering drivers the opportunity to enhance its capabilities, tailoring the car’s features to their own individual, sporting preferences.

BMW Performance components translate BMW’s knowledge from motorsport and apply it to the road car.  They can be added individually, enabling X6 drivers to set up the car as they wish or alternatively they may be combined to provide an overall performance package.

The new BMW Performance Aerodynamics kit accentuates the sporting looks of the BMW X6 by adding a revised body coloured front bumper, side sills and a rear bumper insert.  While an additional rear spoiler, rear fins in matt black and black high-gloss front kidney grilles can also be added for an even more striking look.

The addition of BMW Performance light alloy wheels, in Y-spoke design, further optimise the dynamic driving potential and arresting looks of the BMW X6. The reduced weight, cast light alloy 21 inch wheels feature a rolled rim and exclusive bi-colour finish, a glossy outside and ferric grey paintwork between the rims.  Thanks to a weight saving of approximately 1.5 kilograms, the reduction in unsprung mass improves the driving dynamics and steering behaviour of the BMW X6.

From September 2010, BMW Performance will also offer a sports exhaust system on the BMW X6 xDrive50i and BMW X6 xDrive35i.  Offering a weight reduction and an enhanced sound pattern, the revised chrome tailpipes reduce exhaust back pressure to increase engine responsiveness and driving pleasure.

BMW Performance also offers a range of accessories to adapt the car’s interior to enrich the driving experience. A BMW Performance Sport steering wheel, with a flat bottom and Alcantara coating, for optimum grip, are an example of the interior options. For the ultimate interior upgrade, the cabin can be optimised with the addition of BMW Performance aluminium pedals.

All BMW Performance components available for the BMW X6 are fully compatible, wholly comply with BMW’s quality and safety standards, and fulfil all BMW warranty standards and requirements.

BMW Performance accessories are available from BMW Dealers nationwide.  For more details and to find the nearest dealer please visit www.bmw.co.uk/performance.

CO2 emission information.

The values for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and energy consumption shown were determined in a standardised test cycle according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version currently applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers transmission (automatic or manual) and the different wheels and tyres available on the selected model and may vary during the configuration.

The values of the vehicles labelled with (*), are already based on the test cycle according to the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to allow a comparison between vehicles. More information on the transition from NEDC to WLTP test procedures can be found here.

These figures are intended for comparison purposes and may not be representative of what a user achieves under usual driving conditions. For plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles the figures have been obtained using a combination of battery power and petrol fuel after the battery had been fully charged. Plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. The CO2 emissions labels are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the Passenger Car (Fuel consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001, as amended. They are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle.

A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contains data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge. For further information you can also visit this link.
