On the eve of their much anticipated London Fashion Week show German sisters Daniela and Annette Felder, of London based design duo Felder Felder, reveal their hero ‘Florida Flamingo print for SS16 in style; by printing it on a fleet of electric BMW i3 cars.

BMW i , pioneers of the electric vehicle, and the eco-conscious designers are collaborating for the first time this September.  With the hub of Lo ndon F ashion W eek relocating to the heart of Soho for the first time, the shows are set to be scattered throughout the city so getting around efficiently will be more important than ever. The twins will be using the striking fleet to take their ‘FROW’ from party to show to help them keep to their hectic schedules.

The sisters, who normally travel on bicycles, love that this year they will be able to navigate around London Fashion Week using the nippy cars without adding to their carbon foot print,  “We are excited about the venue change, it keep things fresh and these cool electric cars can navigate around central London with ease. We’re so pleased we are able to connect VIPs to our show in an eco-friendly and stylish way . T hey will be able to enjoy a moment of peace in the craziness that is Fashion Week.’

The hero print for the forthcoming Spring/Summer season has a tropical feel, inspired by exotic wildlife - a look set to lead the style stakes in 2016. Daniela and Annette Felder comment: As we spend a lot of time in Miami, we are naturally influenced by the way of life there. Miami has one of the biggest flocks of wild flamingos in the world. We wanted to bring some Miami sunshine to rainy London!

The show is set to wow with vivid colours, quirky romantic summer prints and sexy shapes – perfect for channeling those Florida vibes!

Competition:

The fleet of ‘Florida Flamingo’ cars will be out on force in London on Friday 18th September. Tweet a picture using #iSpyFlamingo, and tag @FelderFelder and @BMW_UK, for the chance to win a dress (in your size) from a recent Felder Felder collection.*

CO2 emission information.

The values for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and energy consumption shown were determined in a standardised test cycle according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version currently applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers transmission (automatic or manual) and the different wheels and tyres available on the selected model and may vary during the configuration.

The values of the vehicles labelled with (*), are already based on the test cycle according to the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to allow a comparison between vehicles. More information on the transition from NEDC to WLTP test procedures can be found here.

These figures are intended for comparison purposes and may not be representative of what a user achieves under usual driving conditions. For plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles the figures have been obtained using a combination of battery power and petrol fuel after the battery had been fully charged. Plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. The CO2 emissions labels are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the Passenger Car (Fuel consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001, as amended. They are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle.

A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contains data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge. For further information you can also visit this link.
