BMW is Lead Partner for APEC Singapore 2009.

BMW Group Asia today handed over a fleet of BMW 7 Series and BMW 5 Series limousines to the Organising Committee of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings hosted by Singapore this year. The 295 units of BMW 7 Series and BMW 5 Series, which will bear special APEC Singapore 2009 licence plates, will be used as transportation for VIPs during meetings scheduled from July to November 2009.

Singapore. BMW Group Asia today handed over a fleet of BMW 7 Series and
BMW 5 Series limousines to the Organising Committee of the Asia-Pacific
Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings hosted by Singapore this year.
The 295 units of BMW 7 Series and BMW 5 Series, which will bear special
APEC Singapore 2009 licence plates, will be used as transportation for
VIPs during meetings scheduled from July to November 2009. "We
are grateful to BMW for their strong support of the APEC 2009 meetings
hosted by Singapore. BMW's provision of a fleet of 295 limousines to the
Organising Committee will enable us to provide our VIPs with a
comfortable mode of transportation during their stay in Singapore. We
are also confident of an excellent working relationship with BMW Asia
Limited, given their previous experiences in meeting the transportation
requirements of other high profile events such as the IMF/World Bank
Singapore 2006 Meeting as well as the ASEAN Economic Ministers Meetings
and the ASEAN Summit in 2007", said Mr Aloysius Arlando, Executive
Director, APEC Singapore 2009 Organising Committee. Mr Johannes
Seibert, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia said, "BMW has a long

from 21 member economies will find our BMW 7 Series and BMW 5 Series a

Our participation in several high profile meetings in Singapore

essential logistical support on a massive scale for key events and we
look forward to repeating that achievement in our support for
Singapore's hosting of APEC 2009." Working closely with long-term
partner, Performance Motors, BMW Group Asia will also provide drivers,
driver training and technical support to ensure that the transportation
for the delegates go smoothly. Along with 24-hour technical assistance,
the APEC delegates will receive the best service possible. The APEC
Singapore 2009 Fleet BMW Asia will provide a fleet of comprising of BMW
7 Series for the Leaders Week segment of APEC Singapore 2009 in
November. The rest of the fleet is made up of BMW 525i and the BMW 520i
models, all which will be used for meetings from July. Post APEC
Singapore 2009, there are plans for the fleet to be used at other
international events hosted in Singapore. About BMW Group Asia
