In the heart of Jakarta, BMW Indonesia officially unveiled the seventh-generation, which offered in two variants - locally-assembled All-new BMW 530i Luxury Line and All-new BMW 530i M Sport. This latest generation of BMW 5 Series reinforces BMW's domination in business sedan segment. The seventh-generation now features further advancements in technical and technological aspects. The vast application of the BMW EfficientLightweight; a lightweight design concept, with increased use of aluminium and high-strength steels, reduces the weight of the 5 Series Sedan by up to 100 kilograms from that of its predecessor. The newly designed chassis has a low center of gravity, ensuring the presence of BMW’s hallmark even weight distribution and a lightweight body that results in a dynamic driving experience with the long-distance comfort for which the BMW 5 Series is renowned.

All-new BMW 530i line-up equipped with the BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder gasoline engine with double VANOS, High Precision Injection, and BMW EfficientDynamics technology, producing maximum output of 252hp with peak torque of 350 Nm. The BMW 530i surges from 0 ‑ 100 km/h in a mere 6.2 seconds. The car boasts high efficiency with fuel consumption of 18,2 km per litre with CO2 emission of 126g/km (based on UN ECE tests). Global Positioning System-connected transmission as well as Auto Start Stop feature adapts its response based on route and traffic to ensure high level of comfort during commuting.

Features such as chrome Active Air Stream Kidney Grille, air breathers, aluminium-coated doorknob, two rounded tailpipes, as well as "LuxuryLine"- badged fender emphasize elegant character that is the all-new BMW 530i Luxury Line exudes.

On the M Sport variant, the all-new BMW 5 Series highlights masculinity with bold lines. It is all about sportiness with black-chrome stripes, 18" M light-alloy wheels, M Sport suspension, and double rectangular exhaust system. Inside, M Sport seats are covered with Alcantara leather that strengthen its sportiness along with M Sport steering wheel, as well as aluminium interior trim and pedal.

The next step to automated driving.

A line-up of assistance systems are on hand in the all-new BMW 5 Series to offer the participants unbeatable support. Smart assistance features such as Park Assist and Rear View Camera within the all-new BMW 5 Series simplifies some of the drivers' activities.

Finding the parking spot and maneuvering during parallel parking becomes easier using the Park Assist feature. The all-new BMW 5 Series easily spots potential parking location within 1,5m radius while driving under 33 k/h around parking lot. After finding the right spot, driver can initiate self-parking by pushing the Park Assist button found on the central console, giving in full control of throttle, braking, and transmission. Reverse maneuver and parking becomes easier with Rear View Camera that shows real-time condition with interactive lanes, making use of the high-definition camera. The whole process can be monitored using Control View screen within center console.

Intuitive usability and extensive comfort.
With even greater user-friendliness as its goal, the all-new BMW 5 Series is equipped with the latest-generation 6.0 iDrive system. It displays navigation, telephone and entertainment features, plus vehicle functions, on a high-resolution 10.25-inch screen. The system can be operated using the iDrive Controller, by voice command or touch command, or with state of- the-art BMW Gesture Control, as the driver wishes. The large, tile-style panels can be arranged as desired and show the content of the underlying menus in constantly updated form.

In order to increase comfort during commute, the latest business sedan offer extended storage options, greater legroom for rear-seat passengers as well as rear seat entertainment system with two independent 10.2" screens that can be controlled to perform entertainment and information functions. Front seats can be electronically adjusted, while air conditioning adopts four-zone ionization system integrated with Ambient Air Package first introduced with the new BMW 7 Series.
Special Synergy Thermoacoustic Capsule (SYNTAK) engine encapsulation technology, the acoustic glazing for the windscreen, and the acoustic headliner bring about another noticeable reduction in noise levels inside the car. All headlight variants specified for the BMW 5 Series Sedan come as standard with LED technology.

BMW Display Key offer various additional unique features in this segment. It screen displays vehicle status and simplify interactions with its integrated Touch Display. Driver can check fuel status, driving range, central lock system, window and sunroof status, as well as controlling air conditioning from outside of the vehicle.

Price and availability.
The all-new BMW 5 Series will be available at BMW Authorized Dealers from August 2017. The locally-assembled, all-new BMW 530i Luxury Line will be offered at a price of Rp.1.149.000.000,- off-the-road. Meanwhile, the all-new BMW 530i M Sport will be offered at a price of Rp. 1.379.000.000- off-the-road. The vehicles come with BMW Service Inclusive, which includes free-of-charge regular maintenance for 5 years or 60,000 km, whichever comes first, as well as a 36-month warranty without mileage limitations. Also covered by BMW Group Tire Coverage for 3 years and includes replacement up to 4 tires per year up to 100% that covered the tires and labor cost, it covers damage caused by punctures, bulging, cut burst and torn or the vehicle continuing to run on flat tires.
