Singapore. MINI Asia and Eurokars Habitat invite drivers to escape the city’s bustle, and forge a different path with the latest special edition MINI – The MINI Cooper S Countryman Dartmoor Edition – now available exclusively in Singapore.

“The MINI Countryman Dartmoor Edition is for the adventurer who has a go-any-where attitude and relishes the thrill of taking on rugged terrain,” said Kidd Yam, Head of MINI Asia. “As such, it’s only befitting that this special edition be inspired by Dartmoor National Park in the United Kingdom, where sprawling moorlands and wooded valleys offer exhilarating outdoor adventure year round.

The exterior design of the MINI Countryman Dartmoor Edition also speaks to those who thrive to push themselves to the limits as it was conceived with a rally car in mind,” continues Yam. “It features a special chequered decal that stretches across the sides of the car that is reminiscent of the rally flag, and has matching sport stripes on the bonnet, roof, and rear. Whether on the track or in the great outdoors, the MINI Countryman Dartmoor Edition embraces the go-kart feeling that is intrinsic to MINI.”

Unique rally design.

Further augmenting the racy vibe is the John Cooper Works aerodynamic kit, comprising of an imposing rear apron with in-built air ducts, as well as a diffuser on the rear bumper. These lend a powerful, striking appearance to the car – and serves as a visual reflection of the John Cooper Works sporting heritage. Piano Black trims for the headlights and taillights reinforce the sporty look. The MINI Countryman Dartmoor Edition also features additional LED headlights – these are reminiscent of the Mini that triumphed at the Rallye Monte-Carlo in 1964.

Striking wheels.

In a nod to MINI’s racing heritage, the MINI Countryman Dartmoor Edition sports John Cooper Works 19-inch Rallye Spoke wheels in Orbit Grey or Aspen White. Finished with a contrasting red décor ring and high precision laser-etched MINI Chequered flag graphic, these wheels add both performance and personality to this special edition MINI.

Sporty interior.

Decked out in Anthracite headliner and Leather Cross Punch upholstery in Carbon Black, the MINI Countryman Dartmoor Edition is made for the rugged explorer with an eye for detail. Premium touches such as a John Cooper Works Rear Spoiler as well as the John Cooper Works Door Sill Finisher add a further dash of sportiness to the car. A modern display and operating concept thus rounds out the luxurious ambience for the driver and four other passengers. The John Cooper Works leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters completes the call to take to the open road.

Pure driving fun.

As with all MINI models, the MINI Countryman Dartmoor Edition promises razor-sharp handling and an incredibly responsive ride. With a maximum power output of 192 hp and 280 Nm of torque readily available from just 1,350 rpm (all the way to 4,600 rpm), the MINI completes the 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.4 seconds.

Driving fun is further guaranteed with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). This system uses sensors to measure the steering angle, yaw, and lateral acceleration to determine the direction the driver wants to go. If the car starts to stray off the line, the DSC system kicks in by applying corrective brake pressure to each individual wheel, and adjusts the engine torque accordingly. The driver can also select his preferred driving modes of MID, SPORT, and GREEN via a toggle switch.

Dynamic colour choices.

The MINI Countryman Dartmoor Edition is available in Thunder Grey, Midnight Black, Light White, or Chili Red, with a choice of livery in Black, White, or Red.
