From April 26 - 28, Gallery Weekend Berlin presents its 20th edition - spread across 69 locations with works by more than 100 international artists. The 55 participating galleries will showcase the diversity and quality of Berlin's gallery landscape with top-class exhibitions by both young and established artists.

She translates dynamism into form and applies one of her monumental motifs from a two-dimensional picture plane onto a three-dimensional industrially designed object.
The Iziko Museums of South Africa and BMW are pleased to announce “Then I Knew I Was Good at Painting”: Esther Mahlangu. A Retrospective. The exhibition, curated by Nontobeko Ntombela, highlights Esther Mahlangu’s over 50-year long career and her meteoric rise as a contemporary artist, earning her global acclaim. The retrospective will be on view at Iziko Museums of South Africa from February 18, 2024 until August 11, 2024.

The new BMW Photo Award Leipzig will support artists every two years who either have a biographical connection to Leipzig and the region or who consciously engage with the city and its surroundings in their artistic work. The prerequisite is work in the medium of photography or related visual media. The three winners are selected by a changing, international jury consisting of artists, curators, art academy professors and other experts.

The Group contributes to the diffusion of knowledge and the arts through long-term partnerships such as the one forged two decades ago with Paris Photo. BMW France supports the VIP programme and provides Paris Photo with a fleet of electric cars to transport collectors, artists, curators and fair VIPs.
For the seventh consecutive year, Frieze and BMW continue their long-term partnership with the art initiative BMW Open Work. French artist Sara Sadik worked closely with BMW to present “LA POTION (EH)” - a video and gaming experience, using BMW’s My Modes and the new AirConsole technology of the BMW i5 as a playing device. Both works will premiere at KOKO inside the BMW Open Work Lounge during Frieze London, which runs October 11-15, 2023.
From September 6 to 9, Frieze Seoul will open its doors at COEX in Gangnam, for the second edition of the internationally renowned art fair in Asia. The fair will feature more than 120 of the world’s leading galleries, with a strong core of local exhibitors showcasing art from across Asia. Still dedicated to emerging creation, experimentation and image, this program opens to the visual arts and offers a grant to an artist-curator duo as well as a budget for research and production of works.
For the sixth consecutive year, Frieze and BMW continue their long-term partnership with the art initiative BMW Open Work by Frieze. Artist Nikita Gale worked with BMW i7 designers to present the site-specific installation “63/22” in the BMW Lounge. Featuring more than 160 of the world’s leading galleries and led by Eva Langret, the 19th edition of Frieze London takes place from October 12-16, 2022.

BMW Art Journey winner 2021 Julien Creuzet, represented by High Art, Paris, started the first part of his BMW Art Journey on July 15, 2021. In Martinique, he will explore the unexpected and surprising in the familiar environment of his ancestors.
In cooperation with Acute Art and as long-term global partner of Art Basel, BMW will showcase the latest artworks of Lu Yang, BMW Art Journey awardee of 2019. The Shanghai-based artist is represented by Société, Berlin. From December 2 to 6, 2020, Art Basel will present “OVR: Miami Beach”, the latest edition of the show’s Online Viewing Rooms.
Presented by Superblue and BMW i, the art group Random International together with choreographer Wayne McGregor and his company collaborate for the online world premiere of “No One is an Island”. It will be shown exclusively on the digital channels of all participating partners in November, December 2020 and January 2021. The first teaser will go online on November 25, 2020 at 6:00 pm (CET). The live performance will take place at a later date in 2021.
Already since it’s second edition in 2018, BMW Group is partnering with Art D’Egypte. The fourth edition has recently been announced and will run under the topic “Forever Is Now”. It is set to be the first international art exhibition in history taking place at the Pyramids of Giza Plateau and starting on October 23, 2021.
