Munich. As part of a realignment of BMW Group Corporate Communications under the leadership of Maximilian Schöberl, responsible for Corporate and Governmental Affairs and Executive Vice President of BMW AG, a number of personnel and organisational changes have been made.
Personnel changes within the BMW Group Product, Technology and Sports Communications Division.
*** Effective 1 September 2016, Alexander Bilgeri will take over as Vice President Product, Technology and Sports Communications for the BMW Group. *** Bilgeri will be replaced as Vice President Communications for the Americas by Nikolai Glies *** Glies will hand over to Glenn Schmidt, who will be responsible for Business and Finance Communications for the BMW Group effective 1 October 2016.

Additional department with responsibility for MINI, BMW Motorrad and Husqvarna Motorcycles Changes in departmental management
Munich / Woodcliff Lake. After three and a half very successful years as BMW Motorrad Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Hans Blesse (51) will be taking over as Vice President BMW Motorrad USA as of April 1, 2012. Pieter de Waal (60), who has held this position since 2008, finishes his successful career after 18 years with the BMW Group and goes into retirement. Hans Blesse's successor will be announced at a later stage.
Munich/Biandronno. As of February 1 2012 personnel changes will take place within Husqvarna Motorcycles. Maximilian Kalbfell (38), working with the BMW Group since 2003, will take over the responsibilities as Head of Marketing and Sales of Husqvarna Motorcycles.
Munich. Edgar Heinrich (53) will be taking over the BMW Group's BMW Motorrad Design Studio as of July 1st 2012. He succeeds David Robb. After completing his university degree in design, Edgar Heinrich started his career as a motorcycle designer with BMW back in 1986. Within the BMW Group’s BMW Motorrad Design Studio he was Head of Vehicle Design Motorcycles under the overall direction of David Robb from 2007 to 2009.
Munich/Biandronno. As of January 2012 personnel changes will take place within Husqvarna Motorcycles. Dr. Timo Poser (39) has been working with the BMW Group since 2002, formerly in charge of Controlling at BMW Japan, will take over responsibilities as Director of Finance at Husqvarna Motorcycles. His predecessor Thomas Moser (52) after 4 years with Husqvarna Motorcycles will take over a new challenging position within the BMW Group.

The second jury of the Preis der Nationalgalerie für junge Kunst awarded the prize for 2011 to the French artist Cyprien Gaillard. With a sum of 50,000 euros for the prizewinner, this is the most generous prize for contemporary art in Germany. This year’s conferral marked the sixth time that this prize was awarded.
Dirk Arnold, currently Department Manager, BMW Corporate Communications, will become the new Vice President, Corporate Communications, BMW of North America LLC. Dirk will be responsible for leading the North American Corporate Communications department and team, encompassing the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
As of 1 September 2011 Manfred Poschenrieder (41), to date Head of Corporate Communications of BMW Group Central Eastern Europe will take over Communications for Husqvarna Motorcycles within the BMW AG in Munich.
