The BMW Group presented three of its employees with the BMW Group Award for Social Commitment in recognition of their outstanding voluntary activities at a ceremony at BMW Welt. 168 applications were submitted from 14 countries this year – more than in any previous year.
After its success in the “Automotive Brand Contest”, another award has been bestowed on the campaign with its 360° approach – History of the brands BMW, BMW Motorrad, MINI and Rolls-Royce is put in context with authenticity and intense emotional appeal – Second stage of the YouTube film series launched.
“We love what you do!” At the BMW Group, this applies not only throughout the year to the work its almost 135,000 employees worldwide do every day. Once a year, this motto takes on a very special significance for the Munich automobile manufacturer. Since 2011, the company has presented the “BMW Group Award for Social Commitment” every year to associates who have made an exceptional contribution through their outstanding volunteer work.
BMW Group Classic earns two trophies at the award ceremony for the Corporate Media & TV Awards held in the film-festival city in the South of France – the video Christmas greeting “Santa´s Choice” wins the Golden Dolphin in the category “Viral” and a Silver Dolphin in the category “Social Media and Short Videos” goes to animation film “40 Years BMW M1”.
The BMW i3 wins World Urban Car Award 2017. World leader in alternative drive systems in the premium segment. Munich / New York. The BMW i3 continues to build on its successful start to life in both the global new vehicle registration rankings and various major competitions. Most recently, the all-electric BMW i3 (94 Ah) was crowned the winner of the World Urban Car Award 2017 presented at the New York International Auto Show.

A high-class jury honoured the MINI VISION NEXT 100, the ROLLS-ROYCE VISION NEXT 100, the BMW Motorrad VISION NEXT 100 as well as the BMW Concept X2 in the category “Mobility / Professional Concept” for their innovative design and their future-oriented technologies. CO2 emission information.
Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.
All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies.
