Seeing the World through MINI-tinted Glasses. Optical Glasses Now in MINI Design.

Munich. The new optical glasses from MINI are not just for the short or
long-sighted. The stylish, comfortable models in expressive colours are
also a suitable accessory for those who don't usually wear glasses.
The MINI Zeitgeist The optical glasses are typically MINI. The metal and
acetate models give their wearer a trendsetter look. The glasses were
awarded by the jury of the IF Product Design Award 2005 who commented
on the "stylish architecture of the MINI glasses". MINI
created the Optical Glasses Collection 2005 in cooperation with the
worldwide glasses manufacturer De Rigo Vision from Langarone. After the
success of the MINI sunglasses it was just a matter of time before MINI
would also start offering optical models. The consequence is a whole
collection: With six basic designs in 28 colour variations and
something to suit every MINI fan's taste. Hot, Hotter, MINI The
rectangular acetate models are strikingly cool and rather expressive.
With its rectangular frame and the broad earpieces, this model (No. VMI
008) is a real eyecatcher. And even more so because of the colours:
Blue, green, burgundy, violet or black. Somewhat less flashy but
just as beautiful are the seeing aids with narrower ear pieces and
frames (No. VMI 007). Thanks to the large selection of colours - white,
black, brown, orange, blue and burgundy, the temptation is to buy a pair
to go with every outfit. Go ahead! Thanks to their rounded surfaces
and the two-part ear pieces, the light-as-a-feather metal glasses (No.
VMI 407) are extremely comfortable. The colour of the rubberised
earpieces can be combined with the matte-finished frames. The subtle
colour selection ranges from black to anthracite to brown and
palladium. Functionality with flexible earpieces, light materials,
excellent technological features and that special finish and technical
design make the optical glasses from MINI a veritable feast for the
