GT4 European Series: BMW M4 GT4 wins both races at Imola.

A perfect start to the season for the BMW M4 GT4 and the BMW M customer racing teams at the opening weekend of the GT4 European Series at Imola (ITA). Gabriele Piana (ITA) and Bas Schouten (NED) drove the RN Vision STS Racing Team #111 BMW M4 GT4 to victory on Saturday and Sunday. The duo dominated both races, finishing the first race more than 23 seconds ahead of the field and triumphing on Sunday with an eight-second lead. Cem Bolukbasi and Yagiz Gedik (both TUR) from the Borusan Otomotiv team claimed third place in Saturday’s race to secure victory in the Pro-Am class. In the AM category, Paolo Meloni and Stefano Valli (both SMR) triumphed in the W&D Racing Team BMW M4 GT4. RN Vision STS Racing and Borusan Otomotiv were also able to celebrate further podium finishes. Driving Piana and Schouten’s team’s second car, Koen Bogaerts and Mark van der Aa (both NED) finished third in the Silver class on Saturday. In the other car from Bolukbasi and Gedik’s team, Ibrahim Okyay (TUR) claimed second place in the AM category on Sunday.

GT World Challenge Europe: Boutsen Ginion sixth at season-opener.

It proved to be a difficult season-opener for Boutsen Ginion Racing in the GT World Challenge Europe. At Imola (ITA), BMW works driver Nick Yelloly (GBR), Karim Ojjeh (KSA) and Gilles Vannelet (FRA) crossed the finish line in sixth place in the Pro-Am class after 85 laps with their BMW M6 GT3.

ESET V4 Cup: Class win at season-opener for the BMW M4 GT4.

The ESET V4 Cup has also launched a new season after an enforced break lasting several months. The first races took place this weekend at Grobnik (CRO). Trevor Racing had cause to celebrate with the BMW M4 GT4. In the second sprint race on Sunday, Ferenc Ficza (HUN) crossed the finish line first in the GT4 class. He had secured second position in the class in Saturday’s first sprint race. He finished third with his team-mate Gregor Zsigo (HUN) in the endurance race.

CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies. Further information on the WLTP and NEDC measurement procedures is also available at www.bmw.de/wltp.

For further details of the official fuel consumption figures and official specific CO2 emissions of new cars, please refer to the “Manual on the fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and power consumption of new cars”, available at sales outlets free of charge, from Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT), Hellmuth-Hirth-Str. 1, 73760 Ostfildern-Scharnhausen and at https://www.dat.de/co2/.
