Woodcliff Lake, NJ – September 8, 2010… RSR Motorsports, a company-backed racing team that competes in the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Challenge, will attempt to earn their third win in a row this weekend during the final race of the 2010 season- the Salt Lake City 200.
RSR Motorsports races three MINI Cooper S vehicles, and 2010 has proven to be their best season ever. RSR has already earned two wins this year – one in the Garden State 250 and the other during the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres. The team finished in third place in the Homestead 200, where driver Sarah Cattaneo took the pole, and secured her place as the first woman ever to do so in the ST class.
What: RSR Motorsports will race three MINI Cooper S vehicles in the 2010 season’s final GRAND-AM Continental Tire Challenge
- Sarah Cattaneo and Owen Trinkler will drive the No. 198 car
- VJ Mirzayan will co-drive the No. 197 with Dicky Riegel
- Smalley will co-drive with BJ Zacharias in the No. 196
Who: MINI USA Vice President – Jim McDowell, RSR team owner, Randy Smalley, and team drivers will be available for interviews prior to the race. MINI product managers will also be available to address questions about MINI’s 2011 lineup.
