BMW Group appoints Neil Fiorentinos as new Managing Director of BMW Group Asia

Midrand – BMW AG, the world’s leading premium car manufacturer headquartered in Munich, has appointed Neil Fiorentinos as the new Managing Director of BMW Group Asia. Fiorentinos takes over the position from Johannes Seibert, who will be taking up the position of Head of Marketing BMW Germany based in Munich.

Fiorentinos is currently the General Manager: Sales and Distribution at BMW South Africa. After completing his schooling at Selborne College in the Eastern Cape, Mr. Fiorentinos received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Town.  He first joined BMW South Africa in 1994 as a Business Management Consultant. 

 

BMW South Africa Managing Director, Mr. Bodo Donauer, said: “We are pleased that Neil has been appointed as the new head of BMW Group Asia. This is a fantastic recognition of the brilliant job Neil performed at BMW South Africa and I’m sure his 16 years of experience in this key market will put him in good stead to take on this new challenge. We wish him and his family every success in the new role.”

 

Mr. Fiorentinos will assume his new responsibilities as Managing Director of BMW Group Asia from 1 March 2011. A successor to Mr. Fiorentinos’ role as General Manager: Sales and Distribution at BMW South Africa will be announced in due course.
