BMW South Africa has appointed Edward Makwana as Manager: Group Automotive Communications. Edward takes over from Benedict Maaga who previously held the position before leaving BMW SA earlier this year.

Edward joins BMW SA from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) where he was Project Director: Communication. Prior to joining SAICA, Edward was a Media Specialist at Mercedes-Benz South Africa where he worked on brands such as Mitsubishi Motors, Freightliner, Mitsubishi FUSO and various corporate communications activities. He has also worked for some of South Africa’s leading public relations agencies.
