Sportier, more modern and more digital. BMW has refreshed its successful X3 Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) with a new look, improved equipment and a range structure which has been optimised for customers.
Driving pleasure in a variety of forms, innovations designed to increase sustainability across the board and visions for the urban mobility of tomorrow form the core of the BMW Group’s presence at the IAA Mobility 2021 show.
New look, improved equipment and an optimised range structure for the customer: BMW has given its successful Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) BMW X3 and the Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) BMW X4 a comprehensive refresh.
The BMW X3 might be perfectly at home on rough terrain and winding gravel tracks, but the Mzansi Edition of this locally-built hero displays another, more athletic dimension to the SAV with a range of sportier features.
The BMW Group now already offers the world’s widest selection of premium automobiles with an electrified drive system – digital solutions for increasing the proportion of electric driving offered by plug-in hybrid models – BMW 7 Series, BMW 5 Series and the BMW X1 also available in future with purely electric drive.

As part of its Certification to become an Official Partner of M in 2018, BMW Driving Experience South Africa is now offering multiday tours that go through some of the most scenic landscapes in Southern Africa.
Following BMW Group South Africa’s R6,1 billion investment announced in the past three years for the production of the BMW X3 and customer vehicles rolling off the production line since April 2018 at BMW Group Plant Rosslyn, the locally produced BMW X3 is currently embarking on a tour to explore its new home turf.
This week BMW Group South Africa is showcasing the legendary vehicles that have been produced at its Rosslyn plant in Tshwane by means of a tour themed “The Legends of Rosslyn”. The tour includes the South African exclusive BMW 333i (E30), which was refurbished in 2017, as well as the renowned and recently restored BMW 325iS (E30) – also known as the “Gusheshe”. In addition, two other special cars will join the tour.
South Africa-manufactured BMW X3s left Rosslyn by train, bound for export markets.
