BMW Group UK has announced that after eight successful years as Managing Director of BMW Park Lane, BMW Group UK’s wholly-owned dealership, Toby Partridge has acquired the Scotthall Hampshire BMW business from Jardine Motors Group. Following completion of the transaction on 12 April, all 100 staff at the Eastleigh-based dealership are transferring to the new company which will trade as Partridge of Hampshire.

Commenting on the acquisition, Tim Abbott, Managing Director of BMW Group UK, said: “Under Toby’s leadership, we not only achieved impressive growth in our Park Lane business but also completed a major redevelopment of our BMW and MINI showrooms together with the opening of the world’s first BMW i Store. I look forward to working with Toby as our latest ‘owner-driver’ franchise operator and a key dealer network partner.

“I am also keen to continue the development of a successful relationship with Mark Herbert as the recently appointed Chief Executive of Jardine Motors Group and his team at Milton Keynes.”

On completion of the deal, Toby Partridge said: “I am delighted to have acquired the dealership. I had eight fantastic years running the BMW Park Lane business but, with the support of my business partner Steve Soper who operates the BMW franchise in Lincoln, I now have the chance to inject my passion for BMW and MINI into my own dealership at a very exciting time for both brands. At the same time we will make sure our customers remain at the heart of everything we do.”

An announcement regarding Mr Partridge’s successor at BMW Park Lane will be made in due course.

CO2 emission information.

The values for fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and energy consumption shown were determined in a standardised test cycle according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version currently applicable. The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers transmission (automatic or manual) and the different wheels and tyres available on the selected model and may vary during the configuration.

The values of the vehicles labelled with (*), are already based on the test cycle according to the new WLTP regulation and are translated back into NEDC-equivalent values in order to allow a comparison between vehicles. More information on the transition from NEDC to WLTP test procedures can be found here.

These figures are intended for comparison purposes and may not be representative of what a user achieves under usual driving conditions. For plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles the figures have been obtained using a combination of battery power and petrol fuel after the battery had been fully charged. Plug-in hybrid vehicles and battery electric vehicles require mains electricity for charging. The CO2 emissions labels are determined according to Directive 1999/94/EC and the Passenger Car (Fuel consumption and CO2 Emissions Information) Regulations 2001, as amended. They are based on the fuel consumption, CO2 values and energy consumptions according to the NEDC cycle.

A guide on fuel economy and CO2 emissions which contains data for all new passenger car models is available at any point of sale free of charge. For further information you can also visit this link.
