BMW IS OFFICIAL VIP CAR OF THE ART BASEL FOR THE SIXTH TIME

Munich/Basel. The largest and most famous fair of modern and contemporary art
will be held in Basel from 13th to 17th June, 2007. The works of renowned
international artists will be exhibited by around 300 galleries from all over
the world. Each year leading personalities from the world of art are among
international visitors to the Art Basel. Celebrities, art dealers from
first-class galleries, directors of leading museums and successful artists will
be in attendance alongside almost 2000 representatives of the international
media.

The boom on the art market continues unabated, so it is does not come as a
surprise when the international press praises the Art Basel so
enthusiastically. The New York Times names the Art Basel the "olympics of the
art world"; Le Mond calls it the "best art show in the world"; the Frankfurter
Allgemeine Zeitung describes the commotion with the words "only the best art is
good enough", and the Wall Street Journal names the fair an "art mecca".

As host sponsor and official VIP car provider, the BMW Group will be providing
the VIP shuttle service for visitors to the fair for the sixth time in
succession. With the availability of BMW 7 Series saloons and the new BMW X5
the Art Basel will acquire access to mobility, allowing a convenient link-up of
individual venues and exhibition stands. Holders of a VIP card may book the
shuttle service for all events and experience BMW's celebrated pleasure of
driving - and of being driven.
