Woodcliff Lake, N.J. – July 16, 2022 . . . What was looking like a forgettable day for BMW turned into an unforgettable one as Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow drove the No. 1 Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 to the GTD class win in today’s Northeast Grand Prix. The duo scored their second victory of the season (Long Beach), completing 174 laps of the 1.5-mile, 7-turn Lime Rock Park circuit in the two-hour-and-forty-minute contest. The duo continues to lead the Sprint Cup Championship.

The No. 25 BMW M Team RLL BMW M4 GT3, driven by Connor De Phillippi and John Edwards, did not finish today’s Northeast Grand Prix, at Lime Rock Park, in Lakeville, Conn. A mechanical issue developed on lap 77 and the car was retired. The No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 also suffered what appeared to be a similar issue on the race’s 33rd lap and was retired.

The highlight of the day was the victory by the Paul Miller Racing team. Drivers Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow drove a strong race in their No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 from Snow’s seventh place starting position. Snow took over the GTD class lead on lap 55, holding the point until pitting to hand off to Sellers on lap 89. A late race caution period closed up the field with Sellers in fourth. The green flag waved with 10 minutes remaining and within two laps Sellers took over second place. Coming to the checkered flag the leader ran out of fuel Sellers took the second GTD victory of the season for Paul Miller Racing.

Bryan Sellers, Driver No. 1 Paul Miller Racing (P1) – “We may not have had the fastest car in the class today, but we put ourselves in a position to win. Madison drove great first stints. Late race restarts can go either way. This time it came to us.”

Madison Snow, Driver No. 1 Paul Miller Racing (P1) – “We made a great call to be the first in the class to pit. It gave me a clear track to really move up. Bryan was very strong at the end. That and a bit of luck got us a great win.”

Connor De Phillippi, Driver No. 25 BMW M Team RLL (dnf) – “We went off on our own strategy because of our poor starting position and made up some track position early on. In the end, it just was not our day.”

John Edwards, Driver No. 25 BMW M Team RLL (dnf) – “Not to finish makes what began as a bad day even more of a bad day. We made a good call to undercut and move Connor forward, but today was not our day.”

Earlier today, Turner Motorsport raced both of their BMW M4 GT4 machines to top-10 finishes in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Lime Rock 120. Bill Auberlen and Dillon Machavern finished sixth in the No. 95 and Vin Barletta and Robby Foley finished tenth in the No. 96 BMW. The No. 43 Stephen Cameron Racing BMW M4 GT4 finished 16th.

Next on the 2022 schedule is the IMSA Fastlane SportsCar weekend at Road America, in Elkhart Lake, Wis. on Aug. 4 – 7th. The two-hour-and-forty-minute race takes the green flag at 2:40 p.m. Sunday; the 7th and streamed live on Peacock. The race will be broadcast on USA from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. ET. IMSA Radio also provides a flag-to-flag broadcast.
