Jörg Reimann, head of BMW Marketing Innovations: "We have seen a growing
interest in podcasts amongst our customers and target groups. With the
innovative BMW IAA Podcast, we are testing a new way of appealing to target
groups who are always more difficult to reach via classic advertising. At the
same time, we are taking account of changes in information requirements. The
initial feedback from users is very promising."
BMW produces the audio articles at the motor show itself, and also provides an
up-to-date glimpse behind the scenes at its own stand. Listeners can select the
broadcasts they want individually, download them onto their iPod or MP3 player
and then decide for themselves when and where to listen to them.
