Whitby/Montreal - The BMW Sauber F1 Team Pit Lane Park set an attendance record
this weekend with more than 41,000 race fans experiencing all the elements of a
Formula 1 pit lane from an extraordinary vantage point in the heart of downtown
Montreal.

Reinforcing Quebecers' legendary passion for all things motorsport, the
Montreal edition of Pit Lane Park eclipsed attendance at previous Pit Lane Park
venues at the European Grand Prix in Nuerburgring, the Spanish Grand Prix in
Barcelona and the British Grand Prix in Silverstone.

Further fueling the Formula 1 fever that gripped Montreal this weekend, the
Pit Lane Park gave 41,021 F1 fans free access to authentic BMW Sauber F1 Team
pits and sensational demonstrations by World Touring Car Champion race driver
Andy Priaulx, piloting the BMW Sauber F1 Team race car and Jonathan Summerton,
Formula BMW graduate demonstrating a Formula BMW race car on the authentic pit
lane track.

Each day of the 3-day schedule featured five rotating sessions of the race car
demonstrations highlighted by the screaming F1 and Formula BMW race engines
accompanied by mountains of tire smoke - the sound, the smell, the essence of
racing. In addition to the live attractions, race fans were also treated to
technical exhibits, a Pit Stop Challenge, F1-inspired driving simulators, a
photo opportunity booth and a BMW Sauber F1 Team merchandise shop.

A wildly popular additional feature of the Pit Lane Park in Montreal was
regular appearances by BMW Motorrad's Christian Pfeiffer, past World Motorcycle
stunt champion, performing spectacular feats on BMW's new F800S motorcycle.
Whether powering down the pit lane track, no hands, while standing on the seat,
or performing balletic pirouhettes on the front wheel, Pfeiffer demonstrated
unbelievable control and creativity and thrilled each and every spectator who
was lucky enough to see him.

"BMW Canada is proud to have staged the Pit Lane Park in conjunction with BMW
AG in record breaking fashion" stated Lindsay Duffield, President and CEO, BMW
Group Canada. "The enthusiasm of visitors to the BMW Sauber F1 Team Pit Lane
Park in Montreal provides unprecedented momentum before its next opening at the
Italian Grand Prix at Monza  on September 8 and its final appearance at the
Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai on September 29" he added.
