BMW CANADA INC. RECORDS BEST JULY SALES IN HISTORY - Retail Sales increase 12%

Whitby, Ontario, August 4, 1999 ... BMW Canada Inc. recorded its best July sales month in history posting sales of 717 units - an 12% increase over the same month last year. Year-to-date, BMW sales are up 9%.

Whitby, Ontario, August 4, 1999 ... BMW Canada Inc. recorded its best July
sales month in history posting sales of 717 units - an 12% increase over the
same month last year. Year-to-date, BMW sales are up 9%.
"Demand for BMW vehicles will continue to rise as we enter into the second half
of the year," states Hendrik von Kuenheim, President and CEO of BMW's Canadian
operations. "During the next five months we will introduce three new vehicles
to our product line-up - the New 3 Series coupé, the M5, and the
much-anticipated four wheel drive sport activity vehicle, the X5. This should
make for a very exciting end to 1999."
BMW motorcycle sales were also impressive during the month of July, recording
sales of 64 units - a 56% increase over the same month last year.
Year-to-date, BMW motorcycle sales are up 28%.
BMW Canada Inc., established in 1986 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of BMW AG, is
responsible for the distribution of BMW luxury performance automobiles and
motorcycles, and is represented by a network of 31 automobile and 14 motorcycle
retailers across the country.
