BMW Canada Inc. has posted its best February sales month in history, recording sales of 760 units - a 38% increase over the same month last year. Even more impressive are the Company's year-to-date sales of 1361 vehicles - an amazing 45% increase over the same period last year.

BMW Canada Inc. has posted its best February sales month in history, recording
sales of 760 units - a 38% increase over the same month last year. Even more
impressive are the Company's year-to-date sales of 1361 vehicles - an amazing
45% increase over the same period last year.
The month of February was also the best sales month ever for the Company's X5
Sports Activity Vehicle which experienced sales of 245 vehicles - an increase
of 74% over February 2000. Year-to-date, X5 sales are up an unprecedented 109%
to 429 units. BMW 3 Series sales were also impressive during the month of
February, recording an increase of 63% over last year.
"BMW is continuing to experience a tremendous amount of growth and success here
in Canada," explains Hendrik von Kuenheim, President and CEO of BMW Canada
Inc. "We expect to encounter even further success throughout the year as we
introduce exciting new BMW products and establish the foundations for the
return of the MINI COOPER and MINI COOPER S in March of 2002."
BMW Canada Inc., based in Whitby, Ontario, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BMW
AG and is responsible for the distribution of BMW luxury performance
automobiles, Sports Activity Vehicles, motorcycles, and beginning in 2002 the
new MINI. BMW is represented by a total network of 32 independent BMW retail
centres and 16 independent BMW motorcycle retailers across the country.
