Hendrik von Kuenheim, President and CEO of BMW Canada Inc., presented a BMW X5
to a very excited Mart Raigla of Etobicoke at BMW Canada's headquarters in
Whitby today. Mr. Raigla won the SAV through the 2001 BMW Ultimate Golf
Challenge, a charity event that raised over $150,000 for the event's recipient
- Toronto's REACH for the Rainbow.

BMW Canada and host sponsor Teranet Land Information Services organised the
event, which was held last month at the Doral Golf Resort in Miami, Florida.

"BMW Canada has been a corporate sponsor of REACH for the Rainbow for over 5
years," explains Mr. Kuenheim. "It is a truly outstanding partnership that
provides an opportunity to go beyond the limit of daily responsibilities and
extend the application of our resources to supporting the strength and
dedication of REACH."

Since 1983, REACH for the Rainbow has been breaking down the walls surrounding
disabled children. Through numerous initiatives including the "Project Rainbow"
camp program, this non-profit organization helps to integrate developmentally
and physically challenged children and young adults.

Each of the 98 golfers who participated in the 2001 BMW Ultimate Golf Challenge
made a charitable donation to REACH for the Rainbow to play the same fairways
and greens as the most famous professional golfers in the world. Included in
the two-day "fantasy golf vacation" was a practice round on the Great White
course and a competitive round on the Blue Monster course.

Battling windy and somewhat cool conditions, Mr. Raigla hit an 8 iron to come
within 17 feet of the pin on hole #9 - recording the closest tee shot of the
day. Off the course, a live auction was conducted where the golfers bid on a
large selection of items that included such things as dream vacations, one of
them being a weekend in the BMW Williams F1 Paddock Club at the Air Canada
Grand Prix in Montreal this June.

A half hour television program providing viewers an insight into this
remarkable two-day fundraising event is scheduled to air on the Global
Television Network on June 10 at 2:00 pm.

BMW Canada Inc., based in Whitby, Ontario, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BMW
AG and is responsible for the distribution of BMW luxury performance
automobiles, Sports Activity Vehicles, motorcycles, and beginning in 2002 the
new MINI. BMW is represented by a total network of 32 independent BMW retail
centres and 16 independent BMW motorcycle retailers across the country.
