BMW Canada's Driver Training Program is off to a roaring start in Vancouver for
the second year in a row, with over 85% of the courses sold. Many of the
participants are visiting the BMW Driver Training website, www.bmw.ca, to
register online. New to Vancouver this year is Level 2 Perfection Driver
Training, which is the next stage in the progressive three level program.

The first level, BMW Advanced Driver Training ($455 plus tax), is offered as a
one-day foundation course that focuses on inner city driving. Conducted in a
fleet of BMW 330i sedans, the Advanced Driver Training Course covers the
fundamentals of good steering, braking and handling on a variety of road
conditions.

Students in the next level, BMW Perfection Driver Training ($870 plus tax), are
taught in both BMW 330i sedans and BMW M3 Coupes. The exercises are conducted
at higher inter-city speeds and provide participants the skills to react to a
variety of critical emergency situations. This course is highlighted by a
timed autocross to complete the session.

The final level of the program, BMW Fascination Driver Training, will be
offered next year. Individuals participating in this two-day course will learn
how to better command their vehicle at highway speeds and how to master a
greater skill level. The two-day course will be conducted using vehicles from
BMW's highly acclaimed M series and will include several track exercises.

The traveling program, which will be in Vancouver until Monday, August 19th,
utilises large areas of tarmac that provide a great degree of safety run-off
areas, such as the Fraser Valley Tradex in Abbotsford. The program descends on
each location with tonnes of training equipment, a special training pavilion
and up to 20 cars. Staffed by dedicated BMW trainers (who have been trained in
Germany) and supported by a team of logistics and administration professionals,
the BMW Driver Training program is run entirely by BMW Group Canada.

BMW Driver Training was launched in Canada in 2001. The program is based on the
highly successful German model, and had over 1500 participants complete Level 1
last year, many of whom registered online at www.bmw.ca. The program is open to
all Canadian drivers aged 18 and over who are in possession of a valid, full
class driver's licence, and individuals do not need to own a BMW to participate.

BMW Group Canada, based in Whitby, Ontario, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BMW
AG and is responsible for the distribution of BMW luxury performance
automobiles, Sports Activity Vehicles, motorcycles, BMW Financial Services, and
the new MINI brand. A total network of 32 independent BMW retail centres, 16
independent BMW motorcycle retailers, and 14 MINI retailers represents the BMW
Group across the country.
