BMW Group Financial Services introduces Self Serve Funding at BMW Group Retailers. Initiative increases customer satisfaction through decrease in turnaround time for financing approval.

Whitby, Ontario ... BMW Group Financial Services Canada announced a streamlined
funding application process today that aims to increase customer satisfaction
while decreasing the time required for Retailers to seek approval and funding
for new sales contracts. The system also enables Retailers to better manage
cash flow and sales floor activities, thereby increasing the effectiveness and
percentage of clean funding transactions.
"BMW Group Financial Services is committed to providing its Retailers with
continuous process improvements, in order to create an optimal business
environment," explains Walter Schauer, President, BMW Group Financial Services
Canada. "In the case of Self Serve Funding, ease of use for our Retailers also
translates into a more positive ownership experience for our customers."

Through Self Serve Funding, BMW Group Retailers now have the ability to fund
transactions and deliver vehicles on the same day. The system allows Retailers
to validate residual values, as well as standard and sales supported interest
rate programs for a particular vehicle, prior to having the customer sign the
contract. In addition, a new link from Reynolds & Reynolds to the BMW Group
Financial Services' InfoBahn now transfers the customer and vehicle information
directly, avoiding the need for duplicate entry of the same information.

Presently, new and pre-owned vehicle Retail Finance contracts are eligible to
be funded through the Self Serve Funding system. Enhancements to be added in
the near future will include the implementation of Leasing contracts.

BMW Group Canada, based in Whitby, Ontario, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BMW
AG and is responsible for the distribution of BMW luxury performance
automobiles, Sports Activity Vehicles, motorcycles, BMW Group Financial
Services, and the new MINI brand. A total network of 32 independent BMW retail
centres, 16 independent BMW motorcycle retailers, and 15 MINI retailers
represents the BMW Group across the country.
