Crystal Ball live auction to feature first BMW 6 Series and X3 SAV available in Canada

Whitby, ON...BMW Group Canada is pleased to present the 8th annual Crystal Ball
charity fundraiser on Saturday, November 15th. More than 1700 guests from
across the country will attend the Crystal Ball gala at the Metro Toronto
Convention Centre to raise much-needed funds for Reach for the Rainbow and
their programs.

Reach for the Rainbow develops integrated opportunities that enrich the lives
of children and young adults with disabilities, their families and the
communities in which they belong.

The Crystal Ball is reputed as being one of the best and the most unique
charity auctions in the country, showcasing the finest and newest of products,
gifts, services, vacations and BMW vehicles. Attendees can look forward to
bidding on items from prestigious retailers synonymous with quality and style.

The partnership between BMW Group Canada and Reach for the Rainbow began in
1996. Since that time BMW has debuted several new vehicles at the annual
Crystal Ball, including the X5 Sports Activity Vehicle; the current M3 Coupe;
BMW's flagship luxury-performance sedan, the 7 Series; and last year, the all
new BMW Z4 Roadster.

This year's live auction will feature not one, but two new models to the BMW
brand lineup in Canada. The highly anticipated BMW 645Ci Coupe, and the BMW X3
Sports Activity Vehicle will both be up for live bid at the event. The winning
bidders on each of the vehicles are ensured of being the first customer in
Canada to take delivery of their respective model. In addition to the 6 Series
Coupe and X3, the live auction will also include BMW's newest motorcycle, the
R1150R Rockster.

history of introducing new BMW models to the Canadian market at the Crystal
Ball has added to the already tremendous fundraising efforts of Reach for the

The new 645Ci Coupe represents BMW's return to the large luxury coupe segment,
one which BMW has a rich tradition in. The X3 SAV is the first premium
offering in its class, and introduces groundbreaking new all-wheel drive
technology with xDrive. And the classic sports roadster motorcycle, the
R1150R Rockster provides a riding experience in its purest form, known only to

Along with the live and silent auctions, an art auction lounge, and a
spectacular four-course dinner, Crystal Ball guests will be entertained by the
legendary country singer, Glen Campbell. The 1700 attendees are expected to
raise over one million dollars for Reach for the Rainbow, a charity dedicated
to integrating children and young adults with disabilities into society.

Last year, the Crystal Ball black tie gala raised more than $1.3 million in
gross revenue, an impressive amount that represented 60% of Reach for the
Rainbow's annual operating budget.
