January 8, 2004, Whitby, Ontario...BMW Group Canada announced pricing today for the new 2004 BMW 6 Series. Offered as both a 645Ci coupe and 645Ci cabriolet, pricing is set at $98,500 and $108,500 respectively with production scheduled to begin in early spring.

January 8, 2004, Whitby, Ontario...BMW Group Canada announced pricing today for
the new 2004 BMW 6 Series. Offered as both a 645Ci coupe and 645Ci cabriolet,
pricing is set at $98,500 and $108,500 respectively with production scheduled
to begin in early spring.
Built upon the successful theme of the first legendary 6 Series, the new 6
continues the passion. Power is available through BMW's award winning 4.4-litre
V8 which features fully variable VALVETRONIC valve control resulting in 325hp
at 6100 rpm and 330ft/lb of torque at 3600. There are three different
six-speed transmissions available; a manual gearbox, an automatic transmission
with Steptronic or a Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG).
Consistent use of lightweight technologies such as alluminium and
thermoplastics make a significant contribution to the outstanding driving
comfort and high level of dynamic performance found in the new 6 Series.
Lightweight engineering results in superior agility, performance and greater
fuel economy.
As is traditional with all new BMW's, groundbreaking technology is featured
prominently in the design. Both the coupe and cabriolet come standard with
groundbreaking technological features Dynamic Drive and Adaptive Headlights.
Performance and safety enhancing Active Steering is also optional on both
models as a stand alone feature or part of an available Sport package that
includes high-gloss Shadow line, Sport seats and 19" Ellipsoid Alloy wheels.
As befitting a BMW, the combination of a powerful yet efficient engine with a
dynamic chassis to match have raised the standards again in the luxury sports
coupe market.
