Company Receives Two Top Rankings from J.D. Power and Associates
Dublin, OH - October 14, 2004... BMW Financial Services has been ranked Highest
in Dealer Satisfaction With Retail Credit and Retail Leasing, in the J.D. Power
and Associates 2004 Dealer Financing Satisfaction StudySM.
While the number one ranking for its leasing program is not new for the
company, this is the first year that results of the prestigious study have
placed BMW Financial Services on top in the category of prime retail credit.
In that category, BMW Financial Services received particularly high ratings
from dealers in consumer qualification and dealer support. Among retail
leasing providers, BMW Financial Services was noted for its competitiveness of
rates and terms, lease initiation and lease-end support.
"We have surpassed even our own expectations!" said John Christman, Chief
Executive Offer of BMW Financial Services NA, LLC. "It is indeed gratifying
that the hard work and dedication of our professional team of customer service
associates has translated into positive results for our nationwide network of
dealers."
For the seventh consecutive year, auto manufacturer finance companies, known as
"captives," achieved higher satisfaction ratings than banks, while also scoring
higher than credit unions and independents.
"This is certainly a cause for celebration," noted Christman, "but also a tough
act to follow." "We must now strive not only to maintain, but surpass these
high levels of dealer satisfaction, and not become complacent."
The J.D. Power and Associates rankings are the latest in a series of honors
received by BMW Financial Services this year. The financial services arm of
BMW was named one of the "Top 10 Best Medium-sized Companies to Work for in
America" by the Society for Human Resource Management and the Great Place to
Work Institute, along with a number of other awards commending its workplace
initiatives.

BMW Financial Services NA, LLC was established in 1992 as a captive finance
company to support the sales and marketing efforts of the BMW Group in North
and Latin America. With more than $15 billion in managed assets and nearly
500,000 customers, BMW FS leases or finances more than half of the new BMW
vehicles sold in the U.S. BMW FS employs more than 700 people, most of whom
are located in the Dublin, Ohio Customer Service Center.
