Dr. Christian Landerl new head of development and model series at BMW Motorrad.

Munich. As of mid-November 2008, Dr. Christian Landerl (48) will be the head of development and model series at BMW Motorrad, taking over from Peter Mueller. Peter Mueller (48) has headed the motorcycle development department since October 2004, and was previously responsible for sales and marketing at BMW Motorrad. After more than seven years with BMW Motorrad, Peter Mueller will now be performing new activities in the BMW Group, for which he is currently being prepared. His new function will be announced at a later date.

Munich. As of mid-November 2008, Dr. Christian Landerl (48) will be the head of
development and model series at BMW Motorrad, taking over from Peter Mueller.

Peter Mueller (48) has headed the motorcycle development department since
October 2004, and was previously responsible for sales and marketing at BMW
Motorrad. After more than seven years with BMW Motorrad, Peter Mueller will now
be performing new activities in the BMW Group, for which he is currently being
prepared. His new function will be announced at a later date.

Dr. Christian Landerl has been employed in the BMW Group for 17 years and has
headed the engine design department at BMW Motorrad since October 2005.

Previously, Dr. Landerl was project manager for in-line engines in the
combustion engine development department of BMW AG. Regarding his new position,
Landerl said: "Ever since I was a young boy, I have always been fascinated with
motorcycles. I am therefore greatly looking forward to my new tasks. BMW
Motorrad is one of the most innovative motorcycle manufacturers in the world
and is currently facing great challenges in motorcycle racing, in terms of
safety and environmental requirements, and with respect to future mobility
concepts."
