Richmond Hill, ON. Today BMW Canada announced the pricing and pre-order for the upcoming i4 battery electric vehicle. The first versions to arrive in Canada, the i4 eDrive40 and i4 M50, will have starting MSRPs of $54,990 and $72,990, respectively. Canadian pre-orders for the two vehicles, as well as the Canadian vehicle configurator, go live today at BMW.ca.
The i4 will be BMW’s first performance-oriented battery electric vehicle and promises to be a shining example of the superior driving dynamics that drivers have come to expect from BMW, making the i4 Canada’s first driver-focused, all-electric vehicle.
The i4 eDrive40 boasts a single, rear-drive electric motor producing 335 horsepower and an estimated 475 km of range. The high-performance i4 M50 has dual-motors, xDrive all-wheel drive, 536 hp and an estimated 385 km of range. The i4 M50 is the first-ever electric vehicle developed by BMW M GmbH. Both versions share a 83.9 kWh battery.
Provincial incentives, available in British Columbia, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Yukon and the Northwest Territories will immediately apply to both versions of the i4.
The i4 is produced in Munich, Germany and will be arriving at Canadian retailers in the first quarter of 2022.
