With the MINI 1965 Victory Edition, MINI pays tribute to one of the greatest moments in its motorsport history: the victory of the Mini Cooper S at the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally, with Timo Mäkinen and Paul Easter at the wheel. The exclusive special edition takes up key design elements of the historic winning car and combines them with modern MINI performance, the brand’s hallmark go-kart feeling and exclusive equipment details.
The Chili Red paint finish, roof and mirror caps in Glazed White, the white stripe running across the bonnet, roof and rear, and starting number 52 bring the iconic look of the rally car into the present day. A “1965” lettering on the C-pillar, edition-specific wheel hub caps and valve caps, as well as 18-inch wheels, add further distinctive accents. Inside, the MINI 1965 Victory Edition also references its motorsport DNA: entry sills featuring “1965” lettering, a special dedication on the inside of the door and further details create a direct link to the historic rally success.
Available exclusively on the MINI John Cooper Works variant in Canada, this special edition combines iconic design with modern driving fun.
With this release, MINI is providing new image material of the MINI 1965 Victory Edition. The images present the special edition as a sporty homage to the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally victory – for everyone keen to experience rally history, distinctive exterior design and MINI driving pleasure.
