The BMW iDrive celebrates 20 years at the all-digital CES2021. A paradigm shift in the interaction between driver and vehicle became an industry standard and laid the foundations for today’s multifunctional, online-based user experience.

BMW eDrive Zones trigger an automatic change to 'Electric operating mode' as soon as the vehicle enters a designated area within a city. Available in 80 cities across Europe and will be expanded in future to other countries including Ireland.
Fifth-generation BMW eDrive to be introduced for the first time in the BMW iX3 in 2020 and will also be used in the BMW iNEXT and the BMW i4 in 2021 – Advanced battery cell technology enables sporty performance and a range of around 600 kilometres in the BMW i4.
