From 1 January 2020, Kevin Davidson will take on the role of Managing Director BMW Group Ireland. Davidson succeeds Paulo Alves, who lead the company’s Ireland business for five years. Alves will return to the UK and assume the position of Director of BMW Motorrad UK and Ireland.
The MINI brand and BMW Group’s UK manufacturing plants in Oxford and Swindon are celebrating twenty successful years of MINI production. In early 2001, production began for MINI body parts in Swindon and on the 26th April that same year, the first new MINI rolled off the line in Oxford.

The most powerful all-electric BMW model: BMW M is introducing an all-electric7 Series model. In 2013, MINI presented the current reinterpretation of the compact 3-door for the first time. Now, in 2023, the one millionth vehicle of the iconic model will roll off the production line at the MINI plant in Oxford, which fittingly is celebrating its 110th anniversary this year.
