Anybody who was not invited read it in the papers: On the morning of 9 July 1929 full-page ads informed the public that BMW had become a car maker. And guests invited to BMW's new showroom in the middle of Berlin were able to admire a small car bearing the model designation 3/15 PS DA 2.
