• Diego Camargo, currently BMW Group Latin America Customer Support Director, is appointed as BMW Group Mexico CEO. • Juan Pablo Madrigal, currently head of BMW AG Market Integration, Technology, Service and Spare Parts, is appointed as BMW Group Latin America Customer Support Director.
• Vladimir Mello, currently Corporate Communications Director for Latin America, will assume a new leadership position at the company’s headquarters in Munich (Germany). • Joao Veloso, currently Head of Communications for Brazil, appointed as new Corporate Communications Director for Latin America.
- Alexander W. Wehr will be appointed Customers, Brand and Sales President for BMW Motorrad globally. Reiner Braun, currently President and CEO of BMW Group Canada, will be appointed President and CEO BMW Group Latin America. - Alejandro Echeagaray will be appointed CEO of Importer Markets in Latin America and Caribbean for BMW Group Latin America. Dirk Biehler will be Alejandro Echeagaray’s successor as Regional Head of BMW Motorrad for Latin America.
• Spiros Philippas will replace Matthias Schlesiger as CEO of BMW Group Financial Services for Mexico and Latin America. • On the other hand, Matthias Schlesiger will assume a new challenge as the CEO of BMW Group Financial Services in Malaysia.

The Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG, Harald Krüger, gave notice today that he will not seek a second term of office. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr Norbert Reithofer, has complete respect and understanding for his decision. The Supervisory Board will address the matter of a successor during its next meeting on 18 July 2019.

Wehr, President and CEO of BMW Group Latin America gathers all Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and importer markets under his leadership. • Maru Escobedo takes office as CEO for BMW Group Mexico. • BMW Group Latin America seeks more competitiveness, versatility and efficiency in the region.
• With the purpose to improve synergies and to stregthen the BMW Group Latin America, the operations of BMW Group Brazil will be incorporated to the regional structure after the integration of Mexico, Argentina and the importer markets (2016). • In 2018 BMW Group has positioned itself in the first place in sales volume in the Spanish speaking countries with a growth of up to two digits in comparison to the same period of the previous year.

Munich. At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of BMW AG appointed Dr. Nicolas Peter as Board of Management member for Finance. Dr. Peter (54) will assume the position of CFO, following on from Dr. Friedrich Eichiner (61), who will retire, effective 1 January 2017.
