São Paulo, 29th May, 2025 – A partnership that crossed the Atlantic Ocean and landed in Brazil. This is what unites MINI and the German football club RB Leipzig, which was on tour in Brazil and has MINI as its brand and official car during its stay in the country.
The partnership stems from a historic milestone. The BMW Group’s plant in Leipzig, where the first MINI that is being produced in a BMW factory in Germany. The new generation of the MINI Countryman, in all its versions, is manufactured at the facility located next to the German club’s headquarters.
This physical proximity and the alignment between the club’s and the brand’s philosophies resulted in the partnership, which includes the use of MINI Countryman vehicles by players and coaching staff, joint social initiatives planned for the region, among other activities.
“Being the official car of RB Leipzig is a great source of pride for us at MINI Brazil. A club so innovative in Germany deserves to ride in legendary cars like MINI anywhere in the world,” says Rodrigo Novello, Sales and Marketing Director at MINI Brazil. “The synergy between the brands is very meaningful, and we are confident that this RB Leipzig tour in Brazil will go down in MINI’s history,” the executive concluded.
The highlight of RB Leipzig's tour of Brazil was a friendly match played against Santos Football Club at the Cícero de Souza Marques Municipal Stadium in Bragança Paulista, State of São Paulo. The match ended 3-1 in favor of RB Leipzig and featured the participation of Neymar Jr.
