The result of this work is the EVO version of the car, which was presented on Wednesday evening before the 24 Hours at the Nürburgring (GER) in the M Showroom at the ring°boulevard. An early not-at-fault accident saw the BMW driver record a zero-point result at the season finale in Watkins Glen (USA), but he was able to stay ahead of fellow BMW driver Nick Catsburg (NED). Catsburg finished fourth to end the season second in the overall standings.
