BMW works driver Alessandro Zanardi (IT) experienced a difficult Sunday at Circuit Zolder (BE). He finished an eventful Blancpain Sprint Series main race in 13th in his BMW Z4 GT3 entered by ROAL Motosport. The Belgian track hosted the penultimate round of the 2014 season. The main race saw a hectic start with many cars making contact in the first corner.

A successful 2014 DTM season for BMW Motorsport drew to an end in Hockenheim (DE). Marco Wittmann (DE), who was crowned the youngest German DTM champion of all time at the eighth race of the season, ended a superlative year with fifth place. Starting from 13th on the grid in the Ice-Watch BMW M4 DTM, he fought back spectacularly to end the race as the best-placed BMW driver.

The DTM has a new champion: Marco Wittmann (DE) of BMW Team RMG wrapped up the title in the Drivers’ Championship in the eighth round of the ten-race season at the Lausitzring (DE). Sixth place on Sunday was sufficient for the 24-year-old, at the wheel of the Ice-Watch BMW M4 DTM, to ensure he can no longer be caught by his rivals.
