The BMW Championship is Back in Baltimore as the Top 50 Players on the PGA TOUR Compete at Caves Valley Golf Club in the FedExCup Playoffs.

• The annual Gardner Heidrick Pro-Am tees off tomorrow featuring notable guests including the Jonas Brothers.

Owings Mills, MD – August 12, 2025… The BMW Championship returns to Caves Valley Golf Club in Owingsville, MD this week as the top 50 players on the PGA TOUR tee go head-to-head in the race for the FedExCup. The field set for this year’s FedExCup Playoff contest includes world number one player and current FedExCup leader, Scottie Scheffler and perennial contender Rory McIlroy as he chases Scheffler’s win total. Hosted by the Western Golf Association, the BMW Championship is the oldest non-major on the PGA TOUR schedule, dating back to 1899 when it debuted as the Western Open. Golf royalty including Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods have won the tournament throughout its rich history.

The excitement at Caves Valley Golf Club kicks off tomorrow, Wednesday, August 13, with the annual Gardner Heidrick Pro-Am. The event features many notable guests playing in support of the Evans Scholars Foundation, which awards full tuition and housing college scholarships to deserving caddies with outstanding academic performance. The Evans Scholars Foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year will feature pop superstars the Jonas Brothers, who will also perform an exclusive live concert for Pro-Am guests.

As always, all proceeds from the 2025 BMW Championship fund full college tuition and housing scholarships for exemplary young men and women who caddy with the Western Golf Association. Since BMW began hosting the event nearly two decades ago, the event has raised more than $60 million in support of the Evans Scholars Foundation, supporting over 4,000 students with full tuition and housing. Currently, a record 1,260 caddies are enrolled in 27 leading universities as Evans Scholars. On Monday, BMW Group Member of the Board of Management Ilka Horstmeier joined a group of dignitaries and officials to mark the opening of an all-new Evans Scholars House on the University of Maryland campus which will home to up to 38 new scholars on campus. The milestone achievement was made possible in part by the success of the 2021 BMW Championship at Caves Valley Golf Club and exemplifies the event’s deep commitment to education and youth empowerment. 

Hole-In-One Scholarship.

BMW will once again contribute an additional full four-year Evans Scholarship in the name of the first PGA TOUR player to record a hole-in-one on any hole during tournament play this week. Diana Llamas was named the sixth BMW Hole-in-One Scholar three years ago after Viktor Hovland’s ace during the 2022 BMW Championship at Wilmington Country Club in Delaware.

BMW will also continue its tradition of awarding a new car to the first PGA TOUR golfer to record a hole-in-one on a designated hole during a competition round. This year, the first player to ace the par-three 17^th hole will walk away with the keys to the all-new 100% electric BMW iX M70. The first electric performance SUV from BMW delivers a massive 811 lb.-ft of torque and features distinctive design elements like BMW M Multifunction Seats, optional 23-inch wheels, and an updated kidney grille design with signature BMW M horizontal bars to match its dynamic performance character. BMW Owners in attendance can witness the thrill of this tantalizing par-three challenge firsthand at the BMW Owners’ Pavilion hospitality venue overlooking the 17^th hole.

Ryder Cup-themed BMW vehicles will also be showcased in anticipation of the 2025 Ryder Cup, where BMW is a Worldwide Partner. Fans can also try their luck at winning exclusive prizes at the Ryder Cup Claw Machine. Guests can recharge in comfort at the Baltimore Biergarten area and practice their short game with the Baltimore-themed Long Putt Challenge surrounded by BMWs displayed in the colors of the Baltimore flag.

The BMW Group is presenting the latest MINI products during the BMW Championship with the opportunity to win a one-month lease on an all-electric MINI. Guests will be able to download the BMW Championship Ultimate Experience Pass to check-in at a variety of activities while visiting Caves Valley Golf Club.
