IONNA Ranked #1 in JD Power Study as Network More than Doubles Size During 2026.

DURHAM, N.C., September 30, 2026 – IONNA, the charging network founded by eight of the world’s leading automakers, was founded on an idea that automaker collaboration would create a better charging experience for drivers. Today, IONNA announced it surpassed more than 180 live charging sites nationwide, more than doubling the size of the network since the beginning of 2026. This growth is anchored by industry-leading customer satisfaction, with IONNA earning the top ranking among DC Fast Chargers in the JD Power 2026 U.S. Electric Vehicle Experience (EVX) Public Charging StudySM in the very first year of eligibility, demonstrating IONNA’s focus on coverage, reliability, and amenities. Together, these achievements reflect not just a promise, but the execution of a quality product, at national scale.

Scaling the National Footprint

Since announcing its strategic partnership with Circle K earlier this year, IONNA has already brought 40 Circle K charging locations online, rapidly expanding charging options across one of America's largest convenience retail networks and doubling the usage of locations following upgrades to IONNA operations.

Removing Friction Through Open Access

In a world of digital saturation, IONNA’s decision to forego a proprietary app was met with…curiosity. However, that choice has paved the way for a deeper focus on seamless integrations, allowing drivers to experience the network using the platforms they already know and love.

With new integrations across Presto, ChargeHub, and EV Connect, IONNA continues to prove itself as the ultimate network partner, dedicated to removing friction every time a driver plugs in.

“The industry has treated charging scale and charging quality as a tradeoff. Our growth and first-place customer satisfaction ranking show that drivers can and should expect both,” said Seth Cutler, CEO of IONNA. “The IONNA team is focused on delivering quality at scale to enable the sale and adoption of EVs in North America”

Building the Network with Drivers

Central to IONNA’s progress is our commitment to put the driver first in the decision-making process.

To further incorporate driver feedback, IONNA has founded a Driver Advisory Council composed of leading EV community voices. Co-captained by Kyle Conner (Out of Spec) and Tom Moloughney (State of Charge), the council provides structured input on network performance, customer priorities and future product development. Working directly on behalf of the EV community, the council will champion driver priorities and continuously elevate the charging experience across the network.

The Council’s first priority will focus on gathering feedback on IONNA’s newly launched Driver's Dashboard.  This feature provides drivers an in-depth look at their real-time charging session details without the need for another app, allowing them to track progress seamlessly while enjoying the surrounding amenities. No downloads, no subscriptions, no scrambling to remember a password. Just convenient information at your fingertips, and a little time back in your day.

IONNA's network expansion, leading customer satisfaction, retail growth, partnerships and driver engagement initiatives reflect a consistent strategy: create a charging experience designed around the customer. As the network continues to grow, IONNA remains focused on proving that collaboration, rather than fragmentation, is the fastest path to improving EV charging across North America.
