Woodcliff Lake, NJ – October 27, 2026…Beginning in December 2026, the BMW X3 M50 xDrive will offer a new optional Black Package with exclusive exterior and interior details. The M Performance model also gains 44 hp from its 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six engine, bringing output to 437 hp regardless of whether the Black Package is specified. Interior enhancements also arrive across the BMW X3 lineup.

Available only for the 2027 BMW X3 M50 xDrive, the Black Package adds motorsport-inspired exterior and interior details. Exclusive 22-inch Jet Black 1134M alloy wheels extend the model’s available wheel range by one inch. Additional M light-alloy wheels remain available as options. The M Sport brake calipers feature a unique high-gloss black finish with a monochrome M logo. High-gloss black M logos and model badges with silver outlines complete the exterior treatment.

Inside, black Alcantara covers portions of the driver-side instrument panel, the area in front of the central display, the inductive-charging smartphone tray, the door trim, and the center-console armrest. The M logo is embossed into the Alcantara headrests, while black Alcantara/Veganza upholstery features blue stitching and piping.

Additional details include M interior trim in an aluminum-carbon structure, M seatbelts, and black floor mats with a flag in the M colors. Selected controls feature glass accents, and the M steering wheel includes a leather-covered airbag module specific to the Black Package.

Output from the BMW X3 M50 xDrive’s 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo inline-six gasoline engine with 48-volt mild-hybrid technology increases by 44 hp to 437 hp. An enhanced exhaust system gives the engine a deeper, more resonant sound. The 2027 BMW X3 M50 xDrive now accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, or 4.0 seconds using the 1-foot rollout method. These performance gains apply to every BMW X3 M50 xDrive and are not tied to the Black Package.

Beginning in December 2026, every BMW X3 model will receive interior updates. The area in front of the central display gains a PVC Softskin surface, and the instrument panel receives a new stitching pattern. Ambient lighting is added to the center-console storage compartment and the interior door handles. Additional details include a new glove-box opener and stainless-steel edge protectors for the cargo sill.
