Richmond Hill, ON. BMW Group Canada (BMW and MINI brands combined) reported June sales of 4,430 vehicles, resulting in an increase of +6.9% over June, 2016. On the year, the Group achieved a +1.2% increase as compared to 2016. This translates into the best-ever June sales for the BMW Group in Canada.
BMW.
The BMW brand sold 3,807 units in June, an increase of +6.6% over June, 2016. This represents the highest number of new vehicles sold in a single month for BMW. Year-to-date, a new sales record of 18,830 units have been sold, growing +0.8% over the same period last year. Demand for the all-new BMW 5 Series continues to increase and played a key role in contributing to this record month of sales. Additionally, the BMW 7 Series achieved a +44% increase over the previous June, generating a +21.7% sales increase for the year.
MINI.
The MINI brand reported sales of 623 units in June, an increase of +8.7% over June, 2016. The all-new MINI Countryman has helped generate a best-ever year-to-date result with a total of 3,312 units sold, an increase of +3.8% compared to the same period last year.

Motorrad.
BMW Motorrad Canada reported an all-time record June sales result of 315 units, an increase of +26.0% compared to June, 2016. On the year, a total of 1,202 motorcycles have been sold, representing an increase of +6.8% over the same period last year. The R1200GS, R1200GSA, S1000RR and K1600GLT were the top sellers in June.
