Beide merken zijn internationaal en authentiek; ze hebben beide een geweldige geschiedenis en een scherp oog voor details en een sterke focus op design en lifestyle. Dit alles komt samen in de nieuwe schoen.

Munich/ Kobe. Onitsuka Tiger meets MINI, two absolute classics with a cult
status for individualists. Both brands are international and authentic; they
have a great heritage and a sharp eye for details with a strong focus on design
and life-style, reflected in the new sneaker.
Onitsuka Tiger and MINI have pooled their knowledge and values. Using the
strength of each others brand know-how, they have been working together to
create a new shoe under the Onitsuka Tiger brand which is inspired by the MINI
Clubman, the Onitsuka Tiger for MINI. The design of the shoe is based on the
MINI Clubman, the upcoming new model, which will be launched in No-vember 2007.
The shoes will be available in a limited edition from December 1st, 2007, and
can be purchased from Onitsuka Tiger Stores, selected fashion stores and key
MINI dealers globally. The shoe will be offered in three colour combinations:
"Chocolate/Cream" following the MINI Clubman's identity, "Black/Silver" as the
brand colors of MINI and "Cream/Green" referring to British Racing Green.
In addition other design elements of the MINI Clubman can be found in many
details of the shoe. The puffed leather is based on the MINI Clubman's
interior. Ellipse style shapes and circles are signature elements of the MINI
Clubman, which are reflected in the design of the Onitsuka Tiger for MINI.
Further features were incorporated based on the technical expertise of Onitsuka
Tiger such as the traditional air-cycle construction with a big hole on the
tongue. The heel counter is constructed for a better fit of the heel and the
particularly rounded heel is shaped for the pedaling movement.
Onitsuka Tiger and MINI are in constant movement - in a very literal sense they
take their energy and power to the street. On top of that, their trendsetting
de-sign and attitudes towards life perfectly combines movement and dynamism; to
push things forward.
