De BMW Group heeft Mike Wetherell (60) benoemd tot CEO van BMW Financial Services Nederland per 1 januari 2024. In deze functie is hij eindverantwoordelijk voor Financial Services van BMW, MINI, BMW Motorrad en Alphabet voor de Nederlandse markt. Hij volgt hiermee Nick Brownrigg op die per 31 december 2023 terugkeerde naar de UK. Mike begon zijn carrière bij de BMW Group in 1997 bij BMW Financial Services UK waarna hij via Zuid-Afrika diverse managementfuncties heeft vervuld in China, Maleisië en Japan. Sinds 1 januari 2022 was hij Regional Chief Executive Officer van Financial Services voor de Asia-Pacific regio.

Mike Wetherell: “Na lange tijd voor BMW in onder andere Azië te hebben gewerkt, vind ik het bijzonder interessant om weer in Europa werkzaam te zijn. De samenvoeging van BMW Financial Services en Alphabet in Nederland twee jaar geleden volgt nu in andere Europese landen. Vergeleken met andere regio's en markten kent Nederland, in het bijzonder op het gebied van mobiliteit, interessante kansen en uitdagingen. BMW Financial Services is een belangrijke speler in Nederland voor innovatieve mobiliteitsoplossingen."

Precies 2 jaar geleden maakte BMW Group de fusie tussen BMW Financial Services en ALPHABET bekend. BMW Financial Services Nederland beheert een totaal wagenpark van 130.000 auto’s en is daarmee een top 3 speler in de Nederlandse markt.

BMW Financial Services Nederland B.V. is een dochteronderneming van BMW AG en biedt premium financiële en mobiliteitsdiensten middels leasing, financiering, verzekering en diverse andere mobiliteitsoplossingen. Onder BMW Financial Services Nederland B.V. vallen de labels BMW Financial Services, MINI Financial Services en ALPHABET. CO2 emission information.

Fuel consumption, CO2 emission figures and power consumption and range were measured using the methods required according to Regulation VO (EC) 2007/715 as amended. They refer to vehicles on the German automotive market. For ranges, the NEDC figures take into account differences in the selected wheel and tyre size, while the WLTP figures take into account the effects of any optional equipment.

All figures have already been calculated based on the new WLTP test cycle. NEDC figures listed have been adjusted to the NEDC measurement method where applicable. WLTP values are used as a basis for the assessment of taxes and other vehicle-related duties which are (also) based on CO2 emissions and, where applicable, for the purposes of vehicle-specific subsidies.
