The new season of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS kicks off this coming weekend, with BMW M Motorsport once again well-represented. At Circuit Paul Ricard (FRA), BMW M Motorsport teams WRT, ROWE Racing, and Century Motorsport will field a total of six BMW M4 GT3 cars and more than a dozen BMW M works drivers.

The ‘Roar before the 24’, the traditional three-day test event one week before the Rolex 24 at Daytona (USA) ended on Sunday with the qualifying sessions determining the starting grid for the 24-hour race. The 2022 Italian GT Championship draws to a close this weekend, and the finale at Mugello (ITA) also marks the final outing for Timo Glock (GER) as a BMW M Motorsport works driver. After ten years of collaboration, the 40-year-old will no longer be part squad of drivers at BMW M Motorsport from next season.
During a media forum ahead of this weekend’s DTM finale in Hockenheim, BMW M Motorsport unveiled initial details of the future race programme for BMW M works drivers Sheldon van der Linde and Marco Wittmann.
