Following the decision to conduct the BMW Motorrad BoxerCup again in 2003, the
racing dates have now been confirmed. The first race will be held in Daytona
Beach, USA, as part of the Speedweek at the -200 Miles of Daytona- on March
9th, 2003. The further races will be held as part of the MotoGP motorcycle
world championships, one Endurance race as well as the British Superbike
Championship.
With the BoxerCup race in Daytona a brand cup will be held outside of Europe
for the first time. The racetrack is a high-speed course which poses a great
challenge for the riders.
Meanwhile the BMW Motorrad BoxerCup has become a fixed component in motorbike
racing. In 2003 it is being conducted for the fifth time already. The rider
field of 30 participants is once again made up of international top riders.
Randy Mamola will be the official BoxerCup ambassador again as in the past two
years.
We will be sure to witness thrilling battles and stunning riding for the
attractive prizes. The winner will take home a BMW M3 coupé, the runner-up a
Mini Cooper S and the third-placed a BMW R 1150 RT.
